I truly enjoy visiting classrooms and speaking with students of all ages. I am also available to serve as a panel participant, creative collaborator and workshop facilitator. Below are a few event types I prefer.

Author Visit: Reading + Q&A + Book Signing
I frequently visit schools and youth groups to read my book(s) to students, answer questions and sign copies of books. Here is a link to a recent virtual visit.

Author Visit: How to Go From An Idea to A Book
I often speak with students about the journey of stories and how they get published. I most recently spoke on this topic at the Cincinnati 2022 Books By The Banks book festival.

Author Visit: What are Affirmations & Why Are They Important? (Anti-Bullying)
Both Boy You Are Brilliant and Girl You Are Magic are inspirational, illustrated poems. I often speak with students about affirmations, why they are important and how to write and use them. Small Group Writing Workshops (recommended for up to 15 students)
For smaller groups, I facilitate writing workshops to help students get the words out. This option requires prior collaboration with teachers or youth group coordinators. I received facilitation training from Women Writing for (a) Change.
